Have You Had Enough?

Updated: Oct 7

Have You Had Enough of Being Tired?

Have you had enough? Really—have you?

Have you had enough of waking up tired, drained, and moody? Have you had enough of forcing yourself through the day with no energy? Have you had enough of taking medication after medication, hoping for a change, but never seeing results?

Because here’s the truth: until you’ve had enough, you’ll never believe that you are enough.

My Awakening

In 2013, I sat in a doctor’s office and heard words that shook me to my core: "You’re prediabetic."

I was devastated—but I couldn’t deny the truth. My diet was a mess. I ate everything I shouldn’t have eaten. I didn’t exercise. I lived on stress and junk food. As a result, my weight climbed, my energy plummeted, and I found myself heading down the same road that claimed the life of a relative I loved.

That day, I decided: enough is enough.

I changed how I viewed food, how I nourished my body, and how I cared for myself. I followed all the instructions my doctor gave me. Within one year, I came off medication. I lost over 35 pounds. My energy soared. For the first time in years, I felt alive.

But Then, Life Happened

In 2017, I became fully vegan, and I felt incredible—until life blindsided me.

I had a hysterectomy. I lost another loved one. We moved to a new city. I was eating right, but inside, I was silently stressed.

Then one day, sitting in another doctor’s office, I heard him say something I’ll never forget: "Yvette, you’re making yourself sick. Your stress is pushing you back toward prediabetes."

I was stunned. I thought I was doing everything right—eating clean, exercising, staying consistent—but my body was telling a different story. That’s when I realized something powerful: It’s not just what you eat that affects your health. It’s your environment. It’s your choice. It’s your stress.

The Turning Point

From 2019 to 2023, I wasn’t truly living—I was just existing. Surviving. Functioning. But my body kept calling out for help.

A year ago, I made a decision: No more. I would no longer live on autopilot. I would no longer put myself last. The only thing that comes before me is God—after that, everything else can wait.

I shifted my mindset. I changed my approach to life. I made myself a priority.

Practicing Mindfulness

I began practicing:

  • Mindfulness – being present in the moment

  • Deep breathing & stress release exercises

  • Daily physical activity

  • Spiritual development & devotion with God

  • Surrounding myself with people who genuinely have my best interests at heart

And most importantly, I learned how to say no to anything that drains me or pushes me beyond my capacity.

The Results

Every single day, I feel stronger. Every single day, I feel healthier. Every single day, I feel more aligned with God, my body, and my purpose.

I owe God everything. He owes me nothing. The least I can do is honor Him by honoring the body He entrusted to me.

Your Healing Journey

Now, I’m asking you:

Have You Had Enough?

Are you tired of being tired? Are you ready to stop surviving and start living? Are you ready to give your body, mind, and spirit what they deserve?

Because here’s the truth: your healing starts with one decision—deciding that you’ve had enough.

This isn’t just about food. This isn’t just about weight. This is about life.

Our bodies are temples. Our time is limited. Our choices matter.

So I ask you again… Have you had enough?

Taking Action

If you’re ready to make a change, start small. Begin by assessing your daily habits. What can you improve? What can you eliminate?

Consider your diet. Are you fueling your body with nutritious foods? Are you staying hydrated?

Next, think about your mental health. Are you managing stress effectively? Are you taking time for self-care?

Building a Support System

Surround yourself with supportive people. Connect with friends or family who encourage your journey. Seek out communities that share your goals.

Remember, you are not alone in this. Many people are on similar paths. Sharing experiences can provide motivation and accountability.

Embracing Change

Change is not easy, but it is necessary for growth. Embrace the discomfort that comes with it.

Celebrate small victories along the way. Each step forward is a step toward a healthier, happier you.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the journey to wellness is personal and unique for everyone. It starts with a decision—a decision to prioritize your health and well-being.

So, I ask you once more: Have you had enough?

Take that first step today. Your future self will thank you.
